Teaterøen ligger på den yderste spids af Refshaleøen, hvor rå beton møder vild natur - og består af mange forskellige typer bygninger med hver sin egen unikke historie. Kasernen, der i dag huser café og teatersal, er en gammel marinekasserne fra slutningen af 1800-tallet. Magneten er en tidligere afmagnetiseringsstation. Og Annekset er et tidligere skibsværft, hvor malersal, riggerloft og snedkersal har fået nyt liv. På Teaterøen inviteres man ind i et univers, der er skabt med sjæl og hjerte - og med respekt for stedets historie
